Q & A

Question: Why do I have cracks around my doors?

Answer: There are many reasons cracks occur around doors. One reason is due to the slamming of doors. Door ways are the stress points of a home. The other reason is that houses are built on soil. As the soil settles and moves it puts pressure on the doorways which are the stress points of a home. As the pressure increases it causes cracks in the drywall above the doors. But do not worry unless the drywall cracks above the doors are a 1/4 inch or greater in width. If they are consult a professional.
